Race & gender:
Human male

The Netherlands, Terra

How did you get into wargaming?
The same store that sold Pokemon cards (and had a Pokemon club) also had Warhammer and it intrigued me.
Soon enough I was there once a week throwing dice.

How did you get into Tau?
I started playing ogers and always wanted a different more shooty army. So when I picked out an army for 40k tau was a very natural choice for my. I don't like space marines, chaos and elder. so Necrons and tau where left as a shooty army to choose from (mechanicus did not have any models when I chose my army)

What would be your second piece of advice (after "read the freakin' rules") to a new Tau player?
After Reading ALL the rules (including Core rules, Core FAQ, Tau Rules & Tau FAQ).
proxy a model before you buy them to see if you like the playstyle.

What is your Tau colour scheme?
mostly plastic grey and base coat white. (I am not a painter)

How did you find this site/the old site, and how long have you been a member?
I have been lurking for +- a year before becoming a member and was pointed here by a fellow tau player at my gaming store.

What are the origins of your ATT username?
It is a reference to our family dog.

Have you reviewed the ATT Membership & Forum Rules?
Maby... (yes I have)

Where and how often do you usually play?
A least once a week and trie to play twice a week.

Do you have any other armies, for 40K or another system?
Fantasy Ogers and dwarfs.
40k tau, guardsmen and some deathwatch.

What is your favourite and least favourite army to play against?
I despise playing against necrons because they just don't want to DIE!!
Outside of Necrons, I have an aversion against LOW in any army.

What is your best and worst 40K moment?
My best moment was playing a 7th kill team game on the space hulk tileset using FW zone mortal rules.
That was really awesome to play.
My worst moment was when I needed to take my opponents index and check for him because he had them wrong every time we played and because of this I could not trust him on his word anymore. (that was the last time I played against THAT GUY)

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'?
Its a hobby like any other.

What are some of your other interests?
video games and (video)game design.
I have a few homebrews under my belt regarding wargaming.

Do you have any pets?
yes, a family dog.

Are you an english native speaker?
No, I have a lot of trouble writing my native languish and even more when I need to do that in a foreign languish
I am open to any form of constructive criticism about my writing and am willing to learn (from my mistakes if need by)
All praise the greater good or fall under its might.
Sorry for all of my English mistakes made and to make.

Hello. Welcome to the club.
There are many of us that are learning english. This community, apart from the incredible T'au related knowledge, is very friendly to non english native speaker. So is a big plus.

I can relate to your anecdote about the guy not knowing his index, I already got used to checking the codex of others players in order to confirm rules. In my city we are all newbies to 40k, so we are still learning.

Anyway, welcome to the light of ATT!
