Cyclic Ion Burst Cannons (CIB) conversions

Hello all,

I am planning on running a ton of Cyclic Ion Burst Cannons (CIB) with 8th, so had to find some options. I placed an order with a 3D printer (not sure if I am allowed to share the info, but will if it is ok). Here is what i received

My loadout for my commanders will be 3 CIB and ATS. Having one on each arm looks pretty cool, but a third on the shoulder mount i don't like the look of. I played with using the joining bit to put two on one arm and a third on the other and didn't like the unbalanced look either. So i decided to get crafty and cutting with my knife to create a Tri-Barrelled CIB:

these are just held together with BlueTack right now. I may play with bulking up the outside a bit.

Too bad those 3D prints are missing lots of the details of the original CIB.

Yes, but I feel they are better than other alternatives that I have found, and when your other choice is ... nothing, then these work great.

I do not have it. I ordered them from a guy I found online. Price was not outrageous. If I had to guess, I think it was a pull from dawn of war.

I love the look of the triple barreled gun. I was just thinking about how to mount 3 guns on today I may have to do something similar depending on how the shoulder mount looks.

I've just cut the barrels off 3 pulse carbines and stuck them to a burst cannon base.
Not perfect but hey, if games workshop wanted perfect our crisis suits to be perfectly modelled, they could've put enough weapons in the boxes!

Those look great athelu!

Was it the guy from the Tau 40k subreddit?

Thanks. I was impressed he actually got a 3D model for the CIB, it looks pretty good.
