Coldstar pose

Hey all, I'm looking for tips on posing a Coldstar Commander.

I'm currently (mostly) following the XV8 moderisation guide to make my commanders. In a bitz bag I found the jets and fins to make a Coldstar Commander.

I love the look of these models, but really don't have the cash to buy one. Fortunately I have a number of old style XV8's still on sprue, and so I'm making my own.

I want to pose him leaping off on a tree or a stack of rocks, but I'm not sure how I would do so and make it sturdy enough for transport to and from games. Any tips?

Pics to follow once I've got more than a spare moment!

Thanks in advance!

You can always just put him on a flying pin and put that one in the base with whatever scenery you want. ^^

I was kind of hoping to avoid using the plastic sopport and have him leaping off of a wall/tree.
