Magnetizing

I'm looking into getting some cheap magnets for magnetizing, because it seems kind of interesting to me. My main goal is to use it on the bigger suits (From XV8's and upwards), and I found some fairly cheap but plentiful magnets.
The magnets are 8x3mm, I do however think those are to big.

I can also go and get 2x2mm magnets for around the same price, would those be usable as well (be it for Fire Warriors, which I doubt, or Battlesuits).

Also, what are the better dimensions for hobbyist magnets? Makes it easier for me to look 'em up.

I thank you in advance!
Sincerely:

For most suit weapons I use 3mm x 1mm neodymium magnets (N40 or higher). They should be enough to get you started magnetising most things :)

Alright, I have found some 2x1mm magnets that are, again, pretty cheap.
Is there any appeal in magnetizing Troops or is that too much of a hassle to fix?

Hey! I know I'm late to the thread but I have a few experiences to share.

First, I've tried 2x1mm magnets on XV8s, and they're pretty ineffective. The guns tend to sag, even if you use strong N52 magnets.

3x1mm magnets are stronger but still not perfect... 3x2mm magnets, however, really pack a punch. They hold guns on very reliably.
