3D printed drone base with magnet inset

I created these 3d printed models to replace the usual GW transparent bases:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2607717

It has an inset at the top for a 1/4" magnet, which allows you to completely magnetize your drones without having to balance a magnet at the end of a stick.

FYI, I tried adding it to Shapeways, but it ended up being over $5/base. *BAD WORD DELETED* that. For the cost of outfitting your army with these, you could just buy a respectable 3D printer.

Good idea.

I advise you if you go to Shapeways to propose something more smaller, for example an adapter to put on the to of the drone stand and maybe under the drone, to fit magnet.

But I feel that idea will not goes very far: one could always put magnet instead of pin on the drone stand...
If only GW would offer magnet options as standard like FW do...

Yeah, not something I'd buy or print myself. Just put a magnet on top of the fly pin.
The ones you linked also don't look very pretty to be honest.
