Currently after 8 of these and there's 3 options.

Anyone have any experience buying these bits from these particular sellers? Money isn't an issue as with shipping they all cost about the same.

These are great bits. I reviewed them some time ago here:

They're excellent, high quality parts, and very easy to magnetize. I'm working on painting a set right now, I'll have pictures up on the weekend.

Reddog Minis, I have purchased from them quite a few times and they have an excellent product and very nice pieces. Easy to magnetize and very user friendly.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll use them then.

As a side note, I've not based my suits yet as they came in the old battleforce box and I don't know which bases they need now. I've found some 40mm and 50mm ones for sale, which ones do the XV8's and XV88's go on? (Also need some 32mm for the stealth suits I believe but that's not a big thing)

Old XV8s go on 40mm bases, while new XV8s go on 50mm bases.

Old Broadsides go on 40mm bases, while new Broadsides go on something even larger (I think).

Thanks. I'll probably grab some 50mm's for the XV8's then even if they're the older ones and some 32mms for my SSuits.

Regarding this, what's the consensus on old model bases? Some people from my community told me that its necessary to update the bases to new standards for tournaments, do I need to put xv88 with the old guns (I'm going to convert them with bodyguard xv8 parts to make em bulkier) on 60mm or can I use the 40mm ones and tell them "this is what they came with"?

By and large, you're not required to update base sizes. Antique models are always legal. I could imagine some exceptions (maybe a model that gained a base where it otherwise had none, or flyers that went from skimmer stands to tall flying stands) but base sizes aren't necessary to update for most competitive play. I imagine it varies by tournament though- look at the tournament rules or check in with the TOs.
