Question regarding xv89

Hello all. I just had a question that those of you who own an xv89 may be able to answer; I've recently bought the new tau battlesuit box and noticed that the torso seems generally smaller, I had been considering using xv89 arms on the new battlesuits but would they look abnormally large? The reason I ask is I simply don't have one to make the comparison myself. Thank you in advance.

Since I still don't actually own any new XV8's, this is just me speculating.

I'm confident the new XV8's share identical sized torso's to their old ones. All the parts remained pretty much identical in size.
Looking closely at some GW images, I'd say the reason it looks smaller is because of the lowered jetpack giving it a less imposing feel, aswell as an added shoulder-pad.

The torso is more or less the same. Old battlesuit arms should fit on just fine. I'd only suggest making the most of the actual waist they have to maximize their height. :)
