Viable Proxies for Kroot Hounds and Vespid?

Does anyone know a viable-looking, relatively cheap proxy model for both Vespid and Kroot Hounds?

I'd love to run about 20 Vespid and about 60 hounds in my take all comers list but I have precisely zero of either and acquiring them is prohibitively expensive.

10 chaos warhounds cost the same as 4 kroot hounds, though they have rectangular bases rather than round so you'll need to get bases for them too. I'm using them for kroot hounds though I have a particular conversion in mind for them.

You'd definitely need some conversion work to make Warhounds work but they're pretty similar sizes.

For the Vespids I'm not sure how affordable this might be for you but I've seen just put jetpacks on other Tau infantry before. E.g. just take a fire warrior or pathfinder and put one of these on them and maybe do a conversion on their guns to make them look a bit stronger than a normal carbine.

I don't think Tau normally use rotors (we prefer anti-grav or thrusters) but these are great bits. I think Paulson is working on a new Tau jet pack bit but it looks like image hosting is down on his account for some reason.

I have 10 of these in transit.
Poland -> Australia is like a decade in delivery time.

I know Tau aren't big on rotors, buy its a decent alternative until something better comes out.
I saw Paulson jetpack too, looked awesome, but apparently it wont be on reddog until august or something.

They'd be sweet for a Gue'vesa jump force though. Operating their own manufacturing facilities, so a little low tech, but still viable.

Shrike is asking the real questions here.

Spined Hounds look great, have been posted here:

Downside is they are limited production and even more expensive...
