[WIP] Tau-Necromunda Gang 29.06.2009

okay the topic might make you think "Necromunda Gang?? thats for Enemys and Allies" and not for Lower Concurse.

maybe this convinces you that its right in here.

i am thinking about changing him to be a Tau ...

Tau Specialist with Plasmacannon wrote:ImageImageImageImage

its propably the 'wet' dream of any Tau Player to equip an XV15/25 with a Plasmacannon, and using the rules of Necromunda its possible!
he will get a XV25 Jetpack like my XV15s (when i got a spare one),
i am not sure if i like the scheme though.

i shortend his limbs to make him mor 'kid-ish'

okay now some info.

the rules i'll be using for them are for the beginning 'Van Saar' as they fit Tau the best (imo) and as i like 'Van Saar' most ;), but i am working on own rules for the Tau/Tauist Gang.

Furthermore i am working on Fluff for them to explain why they are on Necromunda, i will start this right when i am done with my Cadres Fluff as it continues the story.

i split this topic from my Cadres thread as My Cadre is for 40K and this is for Necromunda.

i am looking forward to any feedback.

Very cool idea! I can't wait to see it more flushed out.

There are a number of Necromunda players in my small circle that have wanted me to pick it up but I was never all that interested in the gangs (and I'm a Mordheim player). This could actualy put me into playing Necromunda. :D
I answer to a higher force... Dragonforce!

i have to say, i did not play Necromunda yet, but i played Mordheim and it was fun.

This could actualy put me into playing Necromunda.

i have overworked my Gangboss, its a tau now and not a Gue'vesa, i decided a Tau should lead them.

he's a Gunslinger, with 2 Plasmapistols (as i thought that a Chainsword wuldn't be the weapon of choice for a Tau (as we all know their CC abilities))

Pictures will follow when the batteries of the camera are charged again

Good work Che! I am curious where this will lead. I really think, that your second Gang-Boss fits better and I really like the Plasma-Cannon.
Van-Saar are the shooty guys if I remember correct, so I agree that this will be the fluffy gang. I also can imagine that Delaque could fit, but I do not have the rule-book handy.

Just for the look or do you have the special item in mind, which saved my Specialist sometimes??

I never played Mortheim (just read the rules), but I think that it is the Fantasy-version of Necromunda. It is really funny, especially if you capture one of your enemies ganger. Back then, I got a “territory” for one of my friends specialist.

Thank you, and thats why i made the second one ;) i might use Gue'vesa for the CC gangers with the 2handed weapons etc.

yes they got the 'decent' equipment which does fit the Tau with the 'high-tech' equipment

as i am still at the beginning with my Necromunda career and don't know all of it yet, its more for the look.

Topic moved to Modelling Forum.

This is an interesting concept, Che. The models made so far are looking like they would fit nicely into the Necromunda world.

okay i have searched the equipment part in the rulebook (which i atm only have as the german PDF provided by GW).

so i think Shavaun is talking of the Gravchute, yes.

That would be a good idea, i didnt know that it is in the rules so i planned the jetpack more decorative, but this is a good thing i might use it as!

yesterday, after turning off my PC, i was sitting in front of my workbench, thinking about going to bed or rather to work a bit more.
So i decided to work a bit more and take a risk.

I 'broke' off the Plasmagun of my Specialist, and magnetized his arm, further i magnetized the Plasmagun, a Longbarreld Pulsecannon(XV8) and a Fusionblaster (which i 'broke' off one of my XV15s so i am now able to switch the guns of my Specialist and of my Commander (which you can find in my other thread). Pictures of this will follow later today.

so now i am thinking of re-redoing my gangboss, i will make him an XV22 to, with the ability to take of his Hands, switching his guns so he can pick from Plasmapistols, Boltpistols, Chainswords, Energyfist, Energyblade etc, giving him more options. his Backpack will propably be a Drone (which will be a perfect Gravchute and give a lot of room for the Septsymbol which i am working on)

any thoughts? ideas? Typos?(propably thousands)

pictures as, said, will follow when i am at home

edit: Pictures below!

okay let me introduce to you, THE GANG:

Groupshot Tau wrote:Image

The Boss, Tau Specialist, Tau Kid.

Groupshot Kroot wrote:Image

Kroot Ganger and Kroot Kid

Groupshot Gue'vesa wrote:Image

Gue'vesa Ganger and Gue'vesa Kid

so the boss still needs a lot of work, and they all need to be painted! (Shas'el Tael Urban propably)

next step will be the Equipment and the points, and then i see if i can use them all in the first game or if i have to put some of them aside,

I was not sure about that … I only have the german rule book :)

It is a really good item, but it is hard to find and/or very expensive … I need more credits :D

Nice work on the sept-symbol and a nice use of magnets. Regardless of how tempting it is, just keep in mind that family members are tabu :P

Great work Che … keep it on!

the sept symbol was my first serious attempt on greenstuffing, and was verry easy!

okay now i built Fusionblasters for my Shas'O of my Army, not actually something for this thread,

Image

but then i remembered, that any gun my Shas'o can use (magnetwise) can be used by my Specialist!

Image

and now really, what would be a Tau Gang without a Railrifle?

Re: [WIP] Tau Necromunda Gang (08.01.2009 Colour Scheme)

Okay, i just finished Painting one of my XV15s in the Scheme for my Gang for a test.

it looks good so far and i might use that as the new scheme for my Cadre too!

ImageImageImageImage

okay i know that there still has to be some finetuning on them, but for now i am really happy with it!

i did not choose Shas'el Tael's urban scheme as planned first i decided to do my own thing
