Nice to see this system is growing.

Add 2 things and You have huge fan in central Europe:

1) total compatibility of parts (legs, waepons, cocpits ect. at least throu "weight classes")
2) Add PLC (Polish-Lithuanian Comonwelth) as a nation with Huzar class mech and I'm starting to promote Your game here :D

Thanks for the comments :)

The weapon are interchangeable. (Also I'll be making weapon packs available at a future point).

The torsos and legs have differant sized connection points so they aren't interchangeable in their stock condition. If you want to use magnets and some greenstuff it'd be fairly easy to make it so the body and leg parts all work together.

Once I get the models for the North American factions finished up I plan on doing a number of EU based models as well. It'll likely be some timebefore I get there but there are plans for other nations are on the drawing board.

The model comes like that.

Provide the mold holds up to all the casting the barrel holes should be already on the part. Because it's such a small detail there's a small chance it may not last the entire production run (but I won't know until I get there). The barrel tips on both the alpha raptor and alpha goshawk lasted the whole run so it's likely that all of them will have the barrel hole intact.

Goshawk Alpha - sounds like a TV show - Rick Rogers as Goshawk Alpha! The most daring MechaFront fighter on the lines. Tune in next week when..

Talking mechs, the big chunky lad, third from the top, in the urban disruption cammo - what unit is that one?

The chunky urban painted mech is the medium class Blackfrost Merc mecha. He doesn't have a name yet but it may be the next in line for a model. Still on the fence on if I want do any merc mechs before completely rounding out the main two factions, the upside is that if I do the merc next then either side can use use it for games.

Some WIP painting I started working on in between rounds of castng. Aiming for a low visability scheme for night fighting.

Hey Paulson your models are look really great so far! I was just wondering if you are going to be selling some of the various parts from the kits individually or just as the full kits?

At some point I will be offering the weapons seperate from the mecha. Not exactly sure how soon that will be.

Looking good Paulson. What type of weapon is that gun supposed to be? Definitely looks energy or particle-based rather than a slug-thrower to me --except I suppose it looks like it's got an ammo box on the side, so maybe it's a rail gun? I like the modular missile pod too. Very nice.

I just ordered the Raptor Gamma, and am probably going to order another as soon as funding allows.

One question/comment:
I envision the lighter mecha running in small packs (1-5). My thought was to run a sniper pack with 2 raptor gammas and a raptor "delta".

Have you given any thoguhts to creating an electronic suites variant, something akin to a model having two small machine guns under the nose, and then on side pod having an electronic counter-measures and advanced sensor suite, and on the other side having a periscope type pod. I'm thinking a unit dedicated to:
shielding his pack from enemy sensors (ECM),
locating enemy positions (Enhanced Sensors),
and then providing firing solutions from actual visual confirmation.
(think ECM and Beagle Probe from old school Battletech)

I just have this image of the two gammas poking just their railguns out from around a building and the delta hunkered down behind cover with it's periscope up looking at the enemies rear from over a building telling them where to shoot.

Of course having a few Kodiaks on the other side of the enemy keeping their attention just completes the image :).

Edit: Just got the model today, and so far I'm really liking it. Some minor converting to one foot should be enough to give it a striding pose. The model had very little flash to clean. Now I just need to figure out what color scheme to use. Does NorAm have a "default" scheme as yet?

Sorry about the late reply, I missed the post somehow.

Yes there will be several variants focused on electronic upgrades, sensor upgrades, ECMs and stealth systems.

I have concept art for alternate versions of the light and medium mechs with a bit less armor for more speed and a sensor based focus.

Glad you are enjoying the model :) I always apreciate comments as it helps me stay on target with making sure everything is up to expectations. There's no set paint patterns, mecha will typically be painted a camo pattern suited for their area of engagement, sicne the north american conflict covers an extensive range or terrain from dessert to artic pretty much anything goes. The concept art we've done for NorAm is a mountain two tone camo consisting of a mix of light and dark brown.

Also for a general update I've now made weapon packs available on the site. That way people can pick up extra weapons to convert to their hearts content. :)

Just so that everyone knows, I just discovered that Paulson is running a 20% off halloween sale

AND THIS INCLUDES MECHA FRONT!

I'm very excited. I haven't even received the two models I ordered late last week (should be arriving today, woots!) and now I need to order more!

My wallet just wishes I'd held off 3 more days, lol!

Paulson, you are going to single-handedly get me divorced! (Ok, if it ever happens, GW probably helped just a wee little bit).

In all seriosness, anyone who has had any interest in trying the game out, I encourage you to buy a mecha or two and start play testing. The more constructive feedback we can provide, the better (and bigger) Paulson can make this thing. The models are very well done and so far the rules have been pretty smooth, fast paced, and fun.

Now I can't wait for the Lynx and Wolverine (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

And people thought the last one was big....

The Lynx parts are in and looking absolutely beautiful. I'll be molding these up ASAP and with luck the first batch of pre-orders may start shipping out as early as next Fri.

More pictures are posted in the Facebook gallery. (www.facebook.com/mechafront)

For those of you who missed it on pre-order, it'll be made available on the website in about two weeks

The cast came out very nicely, I should have the first batch headed out in the mail on Fri-Sat.

I get a lot of questions about scale so here's some pics that might help.

I've added a 6mm section to the website and I've placed the 6mm version of the Lynx up for pre-order.

http://www.mechafront.com/catalog/item/ ... 044857.htm

I expect to have the master in hand late next week and I should have them shipping out by the end of the month.

I'll be making 100 copies of these in resin, after that they'll end up being produced in metal and available as part of the upcoming Kickstarter (which will only be for the 6mm models). The metal models likely won't be available for another 6-12 months.

So if you want the 6mm version well before the KS delivers, or prefer resin over metal you'll want to put in an order now.

15mm sized version on the left, other than the re-scaling it should look identical of the 15mm version. I'll update with actual scaled pics as soon as I can.
