Very evocative work, thanks for posting! :D

Agree on the cloaks and your deep red tones are enviable ;)

Thank you very Much Tael.

I'm going completely off the reservation with this one.

As a kit this Bandai HG Gunpla one is super nice to put together very intuitive and a joy through out. It's fully poseable even when painted (if your carful) and is super cheep to boot! I'd recommend everyone at least get one HG Gundam kit to at least build. This project is to test my abilities and skills... I've plenty more to do on this and I'll keep you informed and updated.

I've been going through my back log of personal models and found these two;

Grombrindal in his prime

And A Champion of Khorn a white dwarf model that was released along side Gorechosen.

Lovely models, closet fanboi of dwarfs, especially those with the nice bases ;) The usual due kudos on the paint job too, nicely done.

Yeah a friend bought me that Grombrindal model last time I was at Warhammer world and as we are planning another trip soon-ish I thought it best I get it painted. I've always loved the Slayer models, but as they were all metal and not very good on the table I never bothered... I'm not sure I'm as in love with the new range as I am the old background for troll slayers.

Took my first trip to Warhammer World recently. Better than I expected, the Forge World store is amazing, and the exhibition is really beyond words! My jaw dropped and words were sworn entering at least a few rooms. Went with some friends, who gamed in our teens - they didn't love it quite as much as I did, and really I need to go again to spend more time looking through those rooms.

Yeah it's well worth the trip. I'd love to live more local and game there more often. The exhibition halls are amazing and well worth the modest entrance fee.

It seems like forever since I finished a model... I know it hasn't been but I usually work at such a quick pace it just feels odd!

I have more for the Space Wolf commission army

Image

... I say more I already how more units awaiting paint to add to these guys.

I can already see a marked improvement in my skills and the time to complete units for this army has almost halved as I have the scheme down that well now. There's also talk of adding more Grey knights... This will be a 10k point commission by the time I've finished I'm sure! It must mean I have a very happy client though.

My latest edition to my own armies. I had to have him in my collection but I also had to make him fit in better with my Blood Angels.

I must admit I'm quite pleased with the range on this page I've really been pushing my comfort zone over my latest projects to better test my abilities and learn. Being a Member of Lincoln Wrights Paint on Plastic patreon is paying off in dividends. As much as I don't use lacquers or a 101 weathering products from a 101 paint systems the principle cross over really well even at such differences in scale.

That is one of the nicer --if not nicest, Guillimans I have seen. The metal is really well done, and exacerbates the God-like stature of the character.

As a follower of Lincoln, do you have any Ma.K? I really like the aesthetics of those models too.

I've wandered in to other painting techniques videos recently, I'm looking at several weathering techniques, which is especially useful for my (clothe and Sept markings aside) greyscale army.

Thank you. I think the new Dorn model would also suit this gold.

I don't have any Ma.K models yet as they are hard to come by over in the UK and there's so many versions of kits it's hard to know what your looking at. One kit is a relic collector edition that's super rare, the other is just a cheap over inflated kit trying to fool people like me into paying over the odds!

I will get one eventually as I think I need to do at least one at some point. He's (as you may have seen) already talked me into Gundam. I've also just purchased a Bandai Star wars kits. Just a cheap one as after it's painted the wee man will get it as a toy to play with.

It's been really liberating going off genre and exploring different techniques and styles... I think next I've got a latex mask and a Nerf gun to try get my head around. I'm all about getting out of my comfort zone right now. Though I'm still painting GW stuff as well.

Trying some different colours on these took some working out as they where very muted military tones. Normally working from bright colours and having to darken and mute them my self made working with these colours a very different process!

I think I've managed to make them work.
