I really like that classic PanOceania color scheme and Infinity has many amazing miniatures, so not sorry for it not being a Tau at all.

The paint job you did, itt not good.... not great.... - its absolutely OUTSTANDING !

Its super pro level, I cant get my head around how can some people paint miniatures as awesome as this. You could easily become a commission painter if you wanted to.
Again - fantastic work A++ !

I'll echo everyone else and say that your work is absolutely amazing.

I'm starting a cadre I plan to paint in Russian Green and am totally inspired.

A little update of work on Drones for my Pathfinders. Still missing some first color edge highlights on the recon drone.

Oh, those photograph so nicely. :)

I'm amazed at the work you accomplish. I tried pretty hard recently to attain your level of detail and finesse, and while I made some headway in skill I failed to come close to what you have done here.

Good job, and please know that while you post your peers here are being inspired.

A simple scheme but beautifully finished.
Also - the neatness of the symbols... freehand?

Excellent work

Thanks Modelglue. Don't stop and try it again. I can help with something?

Thanks Tael. I'm always glad be here. These new releases and painting competition in very close future forced me to finish some old rests. :)

Thanks El'mo, Always freehands, it is easy for me. It is nice test of the tip of the brush. :)

I finished all drones for Pathfinders. What do you think about edge highlighting? It is too intensive I fear. And what about bases for the drones. Do you prefer this or classic base with terrain as Pathfinders has?

I am having most trouble attaining that super fine edge line. I tried diluting paint and using a brush edge on a 45° to highlight the corner, but I am not able to get those results.

If it wasn't obvious, I like the edge highlight as is. :)

I would base the drones on a terrain style base, that is my preference. To take it one step further I would use the black plastic base instead of the clear one, but that is just my style.

The wave pattern on the Infinity bounty hunter is simply amazing. I think the highlights all work quite well and I wish I could paint that smoothly. Great work.

Ah thanks ehm Paulson? :)

Yeah, I definitely must make terrain bases for drones.

Ok Modelglue. Some tips:)

1. Too much water in color is bad.
2. In extreme occasions, It is more drybrushing than normal painting.
3. More paint on the brush, thicker line. Remove some paint in paper towel.
4. Often clean brush in water.
5. Wet palette is ideal for preparing paint on the tip of the brush.
6. Do not press brush too much it is. Be gentle.
7. Don't work too fast. Speed makes errors.

I hope it helps and my bad English don't hide the principle. Make pictures of your attempts and I can help more.

Once again, outstanding work.

How do you achieve the blend-effect on your lenses? I often find that my own become a little too articulated, or sharp - do you use some sort of water-glazing or something to blend the colours like that?

Persifal wrote:5. Wet palette is ideal for preparing paint on the tip of the brush.

This. Hundred times this. When I found out about wet palettes I had hard time imagining how I had managed without it for so long. These days I recommend it to everyone who happens to paint at all.

Thanks Siyath.

I used glazing for painting the lenses. With red color from citadel range it is easy. Just water down the color and don't water the surface too much. I often use a technique where in first step I make a very strong highlight, for example Lugganath orange(LO) over Evil Sunz Scarlet(ESS). In the second step I glaze ESS over LO in several layers and take down the contrast of the LO over the ESS. As third step I paint LO on smaller area then before. With this technique I painted big lenses of the recon drone or all armor of the Blood Angels Captain(page 13). On the small lenses it is not necessary to make perfect gradients.
I hope it helps!

It was Hussar painting competition in Warsaw, Poland, this weekend. This competition is ex Polish GD, now not focused only for GW models. I was awarded silver for my Bounty Hunter and mainly for this forum, silver for group of pathfinders with drones commanded by Cadre Fireblade. Yesterday a take second place in speed paint competition. I'm very happy and I must share it with you. :)

Thank you very much for congratulations!

With new releases for our great army, it is very difficult to choose next model for me. Because I'm not able switch on voting in this thread, let me know your choice in comments!

A) Breacher FW Team(planned new camouflage pattern)
B) XV95 Ghostkeel Battlesuit(some parts are glued, not too much time before Hussar to finish assembly)
C) Ethereal(the new plastic one)
D) XV8 Crisis Battlesuit Team(yea, my old team form beginning of this thread will not be finished)
E) Commander(this time in more subtle base)

and alternatively:
F) paint rest of pahtfinders up to 10
G) finish Piranha
