Hah. Thanks guys. I too know the feeling. I get discouraged/inspired by a lot of the painters here and on other sites I frequent. Persifal's thread is a great example. Wood grain on the weapon stock? Seriously? Damn, now I have to do that.
The important thing to remember is you're not competing with anyone- only yourself. If you scroll up to my Firewarriors, you can see one of my prouder posts in that last image. I try to get better with every model I paint and try something new each time out. You can see a lot of improvement in my short time in the hobby. I think the one thing that's helped me more than anything is having my own blog (with a couple of other painters). That commitment forces me to put something up every week, and every little comment I get, and as the page views slowly increase, it keeps me motivated. Find some friends, start a blog, keep the discussion moving, keep learning from each other, and keep plugging away. It also helps if your friends are better than you
