Cadre of the Rising Sun

Hi all.
Hope you enjoy my army as much as I enjoy building and painting it.
The theme behind my cadre is that they came from a lush planet (80% water) but had to make a mass evacuation due to a Tyranid invasion. They found sanctuary on an arid desert planet. One day they will rise again and reclaim their home planet.

The Ethereal is nice. The Fire Warrior Though is a bit too dark, cant really tell where one part ends and the other begins (maybe try taking pic with lightning on ? dunno)

Good looking and crisp paintjob. Especially the ethereal. I'm not bothered by the dark scheme of the FW at all, but it does seem to require some of the blue you used on the shoulderpad on the "front" as well, perhaps a small marking to the gun and helmet, or something to make it pop out a little more.

I like the ethereal a lot! The firewarrior looks great too. I think your use of highlights are extremely subtle which makes it hard to tell where the armor pieces intersect. This isn't a bad thing because in a real battle, making it difficult for your enemy to target your vitals is a good thing. Of course this would frustrate a sniper and force them to headshot you, but this is 40k. We only kill things by blowing them to bits or chopping them in half with power weapons so I think your good. :P

My inspiration for my cadre's color scheme came from this picture in the Codex. It's a pretty awesome scheme!

Your color scheme looks awesome :nice: I really like it, especially in combination with the bone color of the crisis. Keep up the good work

Nice paint job and good colors, though I agree with Siyath on the fire warrior.

What kind of heads are those on the 'heavy' crisis suits?

Very nice work. The firewarrior does seem a bit dark compared to the crisis suits. Maybe highlight him a little stronger, the suits are all lit up.

Samuraities, the heads are from Chapterhouse miniatures. I don't like the GW ones.
