Well that would be an extremely unefficient way to build an axe...it would most likely break after the first serious hit. :D

That was my sentiment. It would be a bit embarrassing really...

Re: Ironsky's desert operations Cadre-WIP Kroot update

Hefty slabs of greenstuff applied, but the majority of the Kroot are ready for paint now (Kroot Ox need a bit more work).

I used silicon shapers for the first time during this project, and I really wish I'd got some years ago!

Below are some proud modelling moments and overcome difficulties incurred from working with old, second hand models.

Most of the quills were snapped off this head, so I cannibalised a head with a squashed beak. Very Kroot

Also I've found my lightbox! so improved quality pictures from here on in... :D

Thanks Tael! Yeah they make it so much easier to get the look you want, rather than an approximation thereof.

Krootox are ready for primer now, I'll post pictures on the weekend if I find time...

A quick photo dump of progress so far:

The skin needs a final highlight and the quills need a few more layers, then all that'll be left is weapons, leather, details and bases!

Progress will continue at a snails pace ;)

What great progress though. I've never quite liked Kroot, but these kept me looking. Still not a fan, but good job on them so far.
