The Pounder's Hunter Cadre, Ksi'm'yen sept

Hello ladies and gents.
I've been promising myself for years that I'd start a Tau Empire
force. With the latest update I thought I'd finally get going.
I really love the idea of the a near future technologically advanced
style of the Tau.
My previous army was Death Korps of Krieg, I played a gunline for
about 10 years, so I want to go for a very mobile playing style.
At the moment I'm thinking tanks. They just look so cool!
Streamlined and deadly, so I'll build an Armoured Interdiction Cadre
and build the rest of the force around that.
I've chosen Ksi'm'yen as my sept as I like the idea of fighting on the
frontier.
Any way I've just finished my force Commander, here's some pics:

Thanks for getting this far.
Next up I have the new Firewarrior box, I will build a unit of breachers and a unit with Pulse rifles to start.
Any comments and advice will be well received as I'm new to the Greater Good.

Bit dark pics mayhaps but what I can make of the colours and paintjob, it looks awesome :)
Really nice looking battle damage/weathering!
Do I see some kinda bluish tint on the darker plates?

Photos are too dark, but it is possible to see the entire color scheme and I like it so much!!! Also weathering is not bad!! I'm courious to see other models from you with this scheme ;)

Thanks for the replies!
I'll have to sort out some lighter pics next time, though the
colour scheme is quite dark.

Routa, the darker panels are painted using Incubi Darknes,
highlighted with Kalabite Green, next highlight is Kalabite Green
with Sybarite Green, then a final highlight with more Sybarite
Green added.

ONOS, glad you like the scheme, I'll be sure to post some pics
as soon as I've finished some more!

Finally finished my first squad.
Again the pics might be a bit dark, I use a sheet or 2 A4
white paper for backing with the kitchen lights for lighting!
I decided to go drone heavy as they look so cool!
I'm pleased with the colour scheme, I wanted a more
gritty, battle worn look to try and show heavy fighting on
the frontier.

I think you have persuaded me to make a strike team out of the new kit. Really like your bases, and the contrast of the blue lenses with the dark green armour. Lighting is much improved thanks for including more pictures of the commander! Keep it up!

Thanks Ironsky! It's a wonderful kit with lots of options.
I have finished my second squad, a unit of Breachers.
Again I've gone for a darker militaristic look.

I'm really liking the darker colors especially with the yellow to make it pop. I think the long stripe going across the blasters looks really nice. Actually I like it so much I think you should incorporate a minor bit more yellow on the commander, that's just my humble opinion though.

Thanks for the advice, I'll do that. The Commander was my first,
if you think more yellow would add to it, who am I to argue!

A little bit more of yellow might indeed do wonders to the commander, make a nice mini even nicer :)
Im really liking the breachers, great job on the lenses. I never even thought Id try to paint them shiny like yours, now I think Ill have to :D
