All good man, no issue being that big - the forum autosizes.
Cheers for linking that Nixon
Liking it as a Night Ops Desert scheme - the high points are all subdued greys to limit reflection uncannily.
Thanks for the positive vibes on the thread Tael
Here's my last post before I will start updating some real stuff. I have been battling in my head over what I want to do with my future army and ended up with these two options as a main color scheme: http://imgur.com/a/U2IiH
As previously mentioned heavily inspired by Tael's urban scheme, the spider tank from the ghost in the shell
, and overall by US Ranger (?) urbany UCP uniform/gear (which mainly are in grey or tan colors).
There has been just a few hickups which has made me hesitant on the actual project start. First, I am not entirely sure if I want to try out the Vallejo Model Color paint range with specific colors. Haven't had too much experience with them and haven't seen their colors in person to actually compare the tones of (for example) tan colors with current Citadel paint range. But it's been really tempting
as I am thinking to expand my view in the painting aspect of the hobby (tight budget limits me of byuing anything extra what I could end up not using).
The second is acquiring the tools for magnetizing. Mainly the drills and drillbits have been a pain in the head. Either I can plop some crazy amount of money into a citadel hand drill (the mould line remover tool already felt like I was beign robbed) or find a small electric one for the same kind of price and save me time and nerves (it's one of those real small low power electric screwdrivers with a drill bit adapter). But finding one of those cheap electric drills has been difficult.
And the last worrying bit is if I need to paint in sub assemblies. I've read a few guides and articles on how it is done and the drill is mainly used in every occasion when you paint a smaller assembly or a part separate from the rest of the miniature. This is really holding me back since I have yet to decide what the heck I should do with my drill situation.
Anyways... sorry for a rambly update yet again (it's been a weird day) but I will be trying my best of getting paints in the next week and actually starting to posting some actual progress.
Feel free to give anything helpful tips on the topic. Thanks, I guess...
