The Battle Damaged Vesh’yo [My WIP Plog] Enter if your stomach can handle it

So I am a cruel person... and some of this will likely make some of you squirm. I would apologize... but I am not sorry at all.

Here are my HQ units.

Here is the current status of my Shas’O Coldstar Commander. I need to start painting her and figure out the rest of her base.

Yes, there is a Firefly reference in that picture. Can you find it on the Coldstar Commander?

I have some Etheral's from the Getting Started set nodded into Fireblades. Pictures will follow.

Troops:

Here we have DS8-F6, who happens to be R2-D2's Grimdark nephew. It is magnetized since drones already include their weapon in their cost, so the DS8 can be either version for the same cost.

Elites Big Suits:

This Riptides story is that it held off a task force of a Daemon Prince leading a Renegade Knight and Havoc Squad against a flank of the Vesh’yo's forces,or at least what they think is a flank.

I did fix the packs. They are all the base Grey now and better touched up.

Update 17Jun2017: Nearing Completion. Heat battle damage came out very well I think.

Heavy Support:

This Shas'vre held the line and expended its ammunition from its missles as it blasted away and took fire from the forces of Chaos and its Marines.

Good work on the damage on the model! I did something similar with some space marine veterans a while back after I had already painted them. I almost cried scuffing them up, but hey, they're bred for battle, not for looking pretty ahah. Same goes for the tau I guess, if they want thier empire to expand they can't expect it to be an easy stroll through the park! Good work man, I look forward to your other works

Indeed! You lads are deep in the fight clearly - I admit, couldnt sit comfortably seeing all that hacking of great kits but the result is going to be very worthwhile.

Thanks for all the close ups too :)

Hahaha yea, most can't stand it but I enjoy applying "character" and giving them all a story

These models are going to look epic when they're painted up! And also, I don't know if you've noticed, but your Commander's lower legs are on backwards. I don't know if you did that on purpose or not.

I noticed that far too late to change it. Next one will be better XP

Yea, looks like knee caps. Comes out good. Will be updating soon

Edit: Updates to the Riptide and Coldstar Commander.

Edit 2: Added Secret Weapon Miniatures acrylics that I used to create heat/Destressed metal effects with. Converted last post on page 1 to Miscellaneous pictures thread.
