[Project] Steg's T'au, Sa'cea Sept in snow camo

Well I figured I might atleast show off some of my pictures of the models here, for more information and more angles of the models I would suggest to browse my Blog as I don't feel like copy/pasting or partly repeat my story/tale on them.

Looks great. The white is a bit grainy, but getting a smooth layer of white is not that easy.

And no I won't visit your blog. If you want it to be seen, post it here. ;)

Yeah it is getting better though.. haven't work much with white before so getting used to the amount of water added (wet palet helps a bit here already) i'm working on.. It's mostly the smaller surfaces I struggle with to get the even coats / straight lines on.. not getting a solid straight lines doesn't help with the grainy feel also.

And that is why I atleast post some pictures of all my units here so it will be seen by those not visiting my blog :)

The colours work cohesively for the whole Team, very nice looking. Can't wait to see more.

It took just 4 days to paint those! How many brush-in-hand hours? :nice:

I Wish!!
No the post I made on September 1st was of models I already finished.. and I have no clue on how many hours I stuck in there but enough.. even had a holiday in between (10 days) with having no progress on them at all. I started these on the 2nd week of konor I believe. While the Pathfinders got finished in the first week of Konor campaign and the Ethereal before the campaign.

I finished my Piranha bar the transfers.. the black T'au logo I can add but the rest is Vior'la red.. and not orange.. not sure how to resolve that as freehand is not something I'm good at.

Here are some Drones Battle-ready (meaning that I wil forgo edge Highlighting for now on the 2 whites and for other models on the black parts and the grey cloth parts, all other highlights and detail will be done as that mostly defines my models I think)

And started work on the Cadre Fireblade:

So he will be next up, hopefully with my Commander that is halfway on doing the layering of the whites.

Absolutely beautiful as always. And that white is enviable. Do you paint on that grey-green undercoat first, then layer up white over it?

Thanks,
the grey-green as you call is it, is celestra grey basecoat with nuln oil wash.. I could do a recess shade, but the lines are so damn small. But I do build up the white-white on that. The yellowísh whit is build up on the red-brownish parts I defined on the model.

That's celesta grey? It looks greenish on my monitor. Maybe my colors are a bit off. Anyway, it's really cool how the multi-colored basecoat make the final layer two different colors!

Thank you!
I'm really glad the 2 white's work so nice with the bright orange especially now that I'm working up to bigger models that have higher rank and thus more Sept colors. And there is enough black/grey to break things up
