How effective is this vs ultramarines in drop pods
Fire warriors with pulse rifles for long range.
Fire warriors with pulse caribines for pinning.
Then breachers for the finishing touch.
3 full squads.
What other units would work well with this?

I don't know how competetive you want to play and whether you plan to play 8th eventually but a Riptide Wing with EWO was able to deal with pretty much anything.
Alternatively Crisis with Plasma Rifles and EWO.

Paint it with marker lights via Pathfinders or a D.C. Commander with marker drones give your Army the reroll 1s.
Or are you worried about the stuff inside? Plasma would take care of most of the stuff he could bring. Some fusion commander to deal with termies would be ideal. But it really depends on what he brings.
So MLs (probably 2-3 sources)
Fusion Commander (or Drone Commander) for anti armor/tank
Plasma Crisis to deal with elite stuff.
Use your troops to deny his Pods.

HH/Longstrike you can use your DFish. It's the same body. Just either pick up the turret bits or proxy it. Actually probably just disregard everything I said then lol.
