I feel *BAD WORD DELETED!* for saying it yet again on another post but this time it's to answer directly to your point: I ran the Drone Carrier Devilfish with Fireblade yesterday in a 1000 points tournament and came 4th. The Devilfish itself gave me the opportunity to finish 3rd if I paid attention to where I disembarked the two attached Drones... But I didn't haha.
It was absolutely worth it carried my 4th games in which I razed two opponents (Ultramarines and Astra Militarum).
I was a bit cold on the Devilfish at first, just like you, but now it's a must have haha.
