Hi fellows, here I am going to show progress on my different projects. Maybe some of you know from projects like the XV 88 Rex - WiP , but this is now frozen due to that I've changed my priorities on to my PathFinders and a second Squad of FW No, they are not missing an arm. This is a optical trick. And the SDT I recently finished C&C as always recommended and welcome. P.S.: May the moderators feel free to remove or even delete this topic if it is wrong placed. Greetings from Germany

I really like your camo job, very simple and effective and just subtle enough. Great work. I'm not sold on the blue though. It's probably too late or just my personal preference anyway. Again nice minis.

Nice minis, minamoto. The camo scheme is a cool idea. Simple bur effective and good looking.
*Makes mental note for own painting session*
Is there a general idea behind that like a special table environment? I'm asking because the bases have this ash dessert/volcano look.

You gotta love those drones! I like the way you painted them, the stripes make look alike a nice camo. Show us more pics!

Thanks to all!@cross.mountain Yes, I play on a desert table at home. And I liked the idea of red sand. The Tiger-Camo wasn't that easy to find out in wich combination it turns out the best. Maybe you recognised it, on the drones I tryed 3 different ways how to paint the scheme. And the first attempts on the trousers of the PF's looked like those pre-historical horses I have 3 different camo schemes ( i think 3 ) •Stealth/Sneaking units use this Tiger-Camo •BSuits have little dots like the Bundeswehr standard camo-pattern •And for my vehicles and normal drones I use the early camo-patterns of the WWII Luftwaffe, squares and plygon shapes. @Sabre Hey I am not that fast with my minis But soon there will be more.

Ah, I see. I thought something like this because of the neat bases. They look like they are from Mars. (Perhaps a near Terra Tau invasion ) TBH, I didn't noticed a difference in schemes, so it seems well done! Keep on, I'm curious how you gonna paint the vehicles. I usually play on a table with an urban environment which inspired me to make an urban (Sa'cean) scheme. But I'm far too slow with painting and have to develop my painting skills. But there is a flicker of hope (Hoffnungsschimmer): I'm nearly finished the Gun Drones and the Pathfinders. c.m

Hello minamoto I really like your base-design. It looks great. The colour-scheme looks very interesting. Would be nice if you could post some pics of your FW's. Keep it up. PS: I am not the fasters painter myself, so take your time

Yesterday my Nurgle Dread finally arrived, but I just recognised this morning, maybe I should not go out that long. I wasn't able to eat my breakfast, proper... so excited I was. And I found this: The horn on the forehead is broken. (the green marked too but that's not so tragic) And now I don't know to reorder the torso or fix it, I have to check this tonight. I searched for the missing parts but it seems that they got lost at FW, before packaging. Because they were not in the little bags they are delivered in. Apart from that the quality and the fine details are stunning. Really impressive work. There are a lot details to discover.

Very nice That dreadnought is one of the best models Forge World has done imho. Should be a stunning piece once you paint it up. About the two missing horns, you think it would be possible to make some new horns in GS or something similar? It looks like the horn on his forehead could be easily replaced with any "insert spiky bit here" from any other chaos sprue. Else I think it's just to contact Forge World's customer support and they'll send you the parts. Good luck with your new toy

Really cool. I can almost see the the glitter in your eyes ForgeWorld minis are not the cheapest, but have a very high degree of detail. The matter with the horns I am of the same opinion as Sturmer. Use some GS or let it as it is. This Deadnought is still decaying and a missing horn wont stand out Have fun with the paintjob and post some pics

Shas'vre Shavaun wrote: This Deadnought is still decaying and a missing horn wont stand out Have fun with the paintjob and post some pics I am not mad about the missing horn... it's just a little bit pitty because it's nurgle and nurgle stuff needs to have a horn on the forehead. But I think I have some tyranide stuff wich could be suitable or I just use some good 'ole green stuff. This thing is really decaying! The CC weapon with this cancer and those pustles are really disgusting And Yes, I wrote an e-mail to the shop where I purchased the dread but still waiting for their answer.

Hi Fellows, no answer from the shop... I think I'll fix the horn with some GS. The PF's didn't have any mentionable progress. On saturday I did a little game with my Brother ('Crons) and a Friend (SM) Crons first, I did second, and yes the SM's third. The game first looked like a major loss for me, after loosing two DF's in the first turn. I was last in the turn so I didn't do anything excepted for the scout movement of the PF's, wich died 5 minutes later in a explosion. After that the destroyers of my brother hit the side of the second DF, one lucky shot again and ten FW's died in the flames of the wreck. But The rest of the force defended their objective and did so far well. In the end I had 9 Figures in total on the table. Our friend didn't listen proper, so he thought he can hold his objective with his Captain, well we told him after his last turn that this is not rule conform, little mean I know. But I told him before the games start only troops can hold objectives (he hasn't got yet the new rulebook) Hopefully tomorrow will be an update, I have a freeday then. [Edit] I forgot to mention that our table is to small for extended Tau tactis in some way... the SM Lascannon reach every corner, and anyhing thats not in cover will be light up. And I was on the unholy alliance chapter 3 (slayer) in Stuttgart, on sunday. We came to the right time. we missed Amon Amarth and just Triviums march-music played, they were awesome. And Slayer is 80 minutes Headbabging and "beat 'em up". And guess who was in the first row.

That is a shame , i had some parts missing out of my Barracuda , but i just phoned them and they we really helpful , and sent them out , but if the head is set into the torso , i'm not certain if they would send a whole new one , but try your luck , i would

There were some finished minis but I forgot all the time to take the pictures and put them in here. Anyway I found some old SM parts and decided to make a little "The Reborn" CSM Renegade squad. I bought a CSM troop box and suddenly I had the parts for 17 Minis - And SM and CSM parts fit perfectly together. Maybe some of you know the Renegade Gallery of the official GW-site(.de). I liked the appereance of "The Reborn" (Die Wiedergeborenen - ger.) and the Idea behind those renegades - to be reborn through the warp and the gods of chaos free of the Imperial necessities. But I wanted them to look dirtier, than they are shown there so this is what I came up for my interpretaion of "The Reborn" (Die Wiedergeborenen - ger.)This is my first squad (5 men), the second squad is half finished and under way. But they will look more dirtier and torn then those. I even did a CSM Terminator Lord. I bought this model when it came out. I liked the way it looks so I needed to have One. This was the first scheme-test for "The Reborn" I am fairly happy how it turns out.

The fact that I only have very little time, leaves me to believe that I will never finish. Do you mix you CSM force, or do you just want a nurgle dreadnought? Your bases fit perfectly to your CSM and the paintjob is really great. I hope the little guy on the left corner will get some shouldergurads, too. The warp could be very cold Keep it on

The ShoulderGuards for the left one don't fit with the horned helmet. I have to finish the other smaller Guards first, then He get some warm warp and inter gear Bases is another good Subject. Good that you reminded me, they are not done, yet. Just primered

minamoto wrote: But I haven't decided yet if FW or standard GW models... ever those difficult questions. The models from FW look very cool especially the sorcerer and the terminators, but they are expensive, too. I do not have a credit-card ... so FW is a little bit out of my reach for me . Are the GW models platic/metal hybrid figures, or are they full metal?? Although I have to say, that the "Schnitter" of the Renegade Gallery depict, that with the right colour scheme the standard CSM could be very good Nurgle Marines, too. minamoto wrote: Bases is another good Subject. The golden/brass colour of you marines show to advantage on the dark bases. Maybe you should dry brush the bases with a dark grey.
