I like the tank overall, but the nose sticks out to me, how much are you watering down your paints? the nose looks like a lot was glooped on.

Actually I bought the hammerhead off from a friend who quit his army. He didn't like his paint job on it, so he took a knife to cut and shave the paint off. Haha, honestly I think it looks much better since I put the Scorched Brown/Chaos Black panel on the front. I didn't think it was that noticeable. Ouch I guess.

@Commander Blueshock: Personally I didnt notice it much, I think the light reflection on the first pic kind of overamplifies the shaved texture. You can try a few layers of matte spray finish to smooth out the rougher cuts if it bothers you.

As an alternate suggestion, you could try a buff block ( used for finger nails ) to help smooth out the nose. You can find them in the drugstore, in the section for nail files, press-on nails etc. They look like a big rectangular block, normally white in color. ;)

Oh well...I have 2 other Hammerheads and 4 Devilfish to go so maybe the next ones won't have as many flaws that are noticeable. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Here are mine so far. (1 Hammerhead and 2 Skyray/Hammer/Ionheads more to do!)

I need to revisit the paintwork and give it the same weathering treatment as my FW Crisis suits.

The Devilfish. Won 3 awards for best painted model at the different LGS in WI. Suprisingly no one around here seems to want to paint more than tabletop quality...
The judgments are decided by several factors (Crispness, Overall Quality, Effects, and Paint Scheme difficulty).

That beautiful teal and white disruption pattern should have a Commander standing next to it saying "Coming to an ice world near your with the force of the Greater Good."
