This is the latest of my Broadsides. Made with parts from a classic kit and XV89s from Forge World. Nothing groundbreaking here but for me it is a step forward as I work on improving my weathering and paint-chipping. Broadsides are one of those iconic units in the Tau Codex and I felt they needed some fleshing out. The legs from the Forge World XV89 give this one a purposeful appearance. The XV89 helmet also gives it a broader more robust appearance. I hope to do more of them in the future. Enjoy!

I like that a lot, but I am still rather partial to the XV81 broadside conversion.

Nice work OSH! The battle damage looks top, adding that extra level of detail always enhances the model.

Very nice job magnetizing that guy! The poses you can do are really funny. I can see a whole photo comic being done with him now! :D

Oh and good job on the blue glow effect. A little messy on the sides, but it looks good!

Was up late (in Denmark), and was bored... so looked through most of the showcase, and realised that I have added none of my stuff. My Battlesuits being done, I decided it was time.

[[[ Photobuckt is so unstable a source, I shall see if it stays put this time. I still have these older images I will need to get suits out again and take pics as they have been properly painted but these old pics give an idea of where I was going with my "Jungle vine" pattern paint job and then I went and also did an urban yet organic paint job borrowed from another member as it was a good camo two tone scheme and simpler to produce.

The venerable XV-15 stealth suits (metal)

The crisis suits were in mid camo work when this image was snapped

My 1st Broadside team back in the day, I also have the Forgeworld Broadside suit

Experimental suits of the 2007 era, the advanced electronics suit and the Ion bazooka suit

[[[since then I had added some home made conversions, as well as the forgeworld XV-81, 84 and 89 suits. I have meant to collect XV-9 suits now I see the Riptide so the old modified Gundam kits standing in the background of the pics are now outmoded, and makes me wonder if such influenced GW to make the Riptide? we may never know.

Here's my Commander Farsight. He's converted a bit using bits from the GW Farsight model and the FE Shas'O R'myr. I wanted him to be posed in such a way that it looked like he was leading with his sword at the enemy. I think the pose turned out successfully. The feat, hand and jetpack are from Farsight, the rest are from R'myr. I'm fairly happy with how he turned out and I don't feel the photos do him justice, he did just win best painted character at my most recent tournament. Enjoy!

Kin'D'uman. That is a very nice looking O'Shovah. I love how he's posed and the R'myr parts are always a good choice for conversion material. The only thing I'd like to see is a little cleanup of the inside lines where some paint from the panels has seeped in. Aside from that well done!

Hey guys

Posting my two cents as well. This is my Crisis suit guy on a magnetized base.
Color scheme set for my made up D´el Amri Sept, dark blue with highlights and some bright contrasting colors scheme.

Nothing fancy, just table top standard.

Might as well shamelessly plug my own Commander, Shas'O Vorcah, (the Shas'el from the Sha'draig fluff.) He's a Broadside body with a converted head, jetpack and gun, as I'm sure you can see.

Quite proud of how this one turned out. Definitely my best conversion so far!
